Busch Gardens Bringing Back “Bush Flyers” and “Kiddy Train”

Busch Gardens Bringing Back “Bush Flyers” and “Kiddy Train”

A few years ago, Busch Gardens Tampa removed several children’s flat rides from Pantopia to make way for the construction of the Phoenix Rising roller coaster. At the time, rumors suggested the rides were safely dismantled and placed into storage. More recently, in the nearby Congo area, the remote-controlled boats and trucks were quietly shut down and removed as well.

Current Site Plan of the area

Recently, SaxOnTrax on X discovered site plans revealing the return of two previously removed attractions: the ‘Bush Flyer’—which, interestingly, always seems to be spelled a bit unusually—and the Kiddy Train. Both rides are set to return in more prominent locations within the park, increasing their visibility and overall appeal. This enhancement is expected to improve the experience for younger guests while adding value for families and visitors who aren’t primarily interested in thrill rides. Notably, the updated Kiddy Train will also feature a shaded viewing area, allowing adults to comfortably watch as younger guests enjoy the attraction

Future Site Plan with attractions and queue

The park has not yet made any official announcements regarding this enhancement, and aside from some early site work, there have been no visible signs of construction. Hopefully, the project won’t take too long to complete and can be brought online sometime after the opening of Wild Oasis this summer in the former Jungala area.
