A few days ago a ticket was mailed out to many press and influencers, so we knew we had to get up early for a morning panel at MegaCon Orlando 2026—10:30 a.m., to be exact—when we were ushered into a packed theater filled with passionate fans of Halloween Horror Nights Orlando. The panel featured three of the event’s creative minds, but little did we know just how much they were about to reveal.
The discussion began with some light, behind-the-scenes questions about the evolution of the event. The team emphasized that while intellectual properties continue to play a major role, original concepts remain the heart and soul of Halloween Horror Nights. Then, things took a thrilling turn.
Welcome to the Infernal Carnival of Nightmares
The creators officially revealed the theme for Halloween Horror Nights 35—and it’s a big one.
Jack the Clown is back… but he’s not alone.
Jack the Clown returns alongside the mysterious Dr. Oddfellow, setting the stage for a twisted new chapter in HHN lore. This year’s event is titled “The Infernal Carnival of Nightmares” (I.C.O.N.), and it promises to dive deeper than ever before into Jack’s origins and Oddfellows history.
Even more exciting—like last year, the overall event theme will directly tie into at least one haunted house, creating a more cohesive and immersive experience throughout the park.
Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control
One of the original haunted houses announced, “Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control,” will serve as a centerpiece for this year’s story.
Guests will experience the twisted tale through the narration of Dr. Oddfellow himself, offering his perspective on the creation of Jack. Longtime fans will recognize elements of Jack’s backstory—his infamous carnival killing spree and eventual imprisonment inside a jack-in-the-box.
But here’s the twist: the creative team revealed that the box wasn’t just a prison—it was one of Dr. Oddfellow’s gateways into the mysterious “Oddverse.”
As guests journey through the house, they’ll encounter Jack in multiple incarnations, witnessing his evolution firsthand. By the end, the balance of power shifts, with Jack rising to become an equal force alongside Oddfellow—embodying pure chaos against calculated control.

Tickets for Halloween Horror Nights 35 have not yet gone on sale, but the hype is already building. Reveal merchandise featuring this year’s branding is now available online and in the parks.
Fans can find exclusive items at locations inside Universal Studios Florida, including the Five and Dime, as well as the newly opened All Hallows Eve Boutique in Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
