We previously mentioned this rumor earlier this week — and now it’s confirmed. After 33 thrilling years, the Bolliger & Mabillard classic is retiring as it reaches the end of its service life. When it debuted in 1993, Kumba instantly set the standard for Florida thrill rides — becoming the state’s tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster while featuring the world’s tallest vertical loop at the time.

While fans will miss Kumba’s signature roars, the park is already teasing an exciting future.
