Disney Cast Compliment + Universal #UOFistBump: Easy Ways to Recognize Park Employees

How to Recognize Outstanding Cast Members, Team Members & Ambassadors at Florida Theme Parks

Have you ever had a Disney Cast Member, Universal Orlando Team Member, or SeaWorld Ambassador go above and beyond during your visit—making your day smoother, more magical, or just brighter—and wished there was an easy way to make sure their leadership knew about it?

The good news: there is. Taking a few minutes to leave positive feedback can make a real difference for these hardworking hospitality professionals. Recognition often goes into their employee record and can support promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and, in some cases, raises.

Here’s exactly how to do it at each major Central Florida resort.

Why Leaving Positive Feedback Matters

When a Theme Park Employee:

  • Goes above and beyond your expectations
  • Solves a problem or answers a question with genuine care
  • Notices your cosplay, outfit, or special occasion and makes you feel seen

…that feedback helps their leadership understand who’s delivering exceptional guest experiences. A little recognition goes a long way in an industry that relies heavily on frontline hospitality.

How to Leave a Disney World Cast Compliment

Disney makes it simple through the My Disney Experience app (in addition to stopping by Guest Relations in any park).

  1. Open the My Disney Experience app.
  2. Tap the menu icon (usually the three lines or “More” at the bottom).
  3. Search for or scroll to Cast Compliment.
  4. Select the reason you’re recognizing them from the drop-down menu.
  5. Choose the park, land, and specific area where the interaction happened.

Optional but highly recommended fields:

  • Cast Member’s first name (as shown on their name tag)
  • Hometown listed on their name tag
  • Date of the interaction

Spelling the name and hometown correctly helps ensure the compliment reaches the right person. Guest Relations is still available if you prefer speaking with someone in person.

How to Recognize a Universal Orlando Team Member

Universal Orlando has two strong options:

Option 1: Social Media (#UOFistBump) Post on X (Twitter) using the hashtag #UOFistBump and tag @UniversalOrlando (or @UniversalORL). Include the Team Member’s name if possible and a short description of what they did. Universal’s social team monitors these and routes recognition to the appropriate leadership.

Option 2: Universal Orlando App (Newer Feature)

  1. Open the Universal Orlando Resort app.
  2. Scroll down to the Helpful Tools section.
  3. Select the #UOFistBump option.
  4. Choose it from the drop-down and complete the form with details about the Team Member and your experience.

This feedback is added to the Team Member’s file and can be reviewed during annual evaluations.

How to Leave Feedback at SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld currently offers fewer digital options. The most reliable method is to visit Guest Relations in person at the park and share your positive experience about a specific Ambassador.

If you see a QR code posted in the area where you interacted with the team member, that may also lead to a feedback form—otherwise, Guest Relations is the primary route.

How to Recognize a LEGOLAND Florida Model Citizen

LEGOLAND Florida calls its team members Model Citizens. While the park doesn’t currently offer an in-app recognition tool like Disney or Universal, you still have a couple of solid options to make sure outstanding service gets noticed.

Best methods:

  1. Visit Guest Relations Stop by Guest Relations during your visit and share details about the Model Citizen who made a positive impact. Include their name (if known) and where/when the interaction happened.
  2. Send an Email (Recommended for detailed recognition) Email the park’s experience team at: LLF.Experience@LEGOLAND.com In your message, include:
    • The Model Citizen’s name (if available)
    • The location or attraction where you interacted with them
    • The date of your visit
    • A short description of what they did that stood out

This feedback goes directly to the Guest Experience team and helps ensure the recognition reaches the right leadership.

Taking a moment to recognize excellent service doesn’t just feel good—it actively supports the people who work hard to create memorable days for guests across Florida’s theme parks. Next time someone goes the extra mile, consider paying it forward with a compliment.
